Petrochemicals
I have obtained the PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from University of Delaware in 2006. I received M.Sc. In inorganic Chemistry from University of Iowa in 2001, and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from University of Salford in 1998. I worked in SABIC for 24 years at different positions and Department. This wonderful journey of knowledge and experience was ended in 2011 as Staff Scientist in SABIC Innovation Center. Then, in mid of 2012, I ambitiously joined KACS as Assistant Professor looking for new challenges, knowledge and experience. During the last thirty years, I have built up wide experiences in Petrochemicals Process, Research, Development and Technology. Accordingly, I am welling and interesting to participate and lead groups who are interesting in the catalyst syntheses research, catalytic process development, building catalysts production pilot or commercial plants, and petrochemicals technology assessment and transfer. Currently, I am working Assistant Professor in the Material Science Institute, King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology (KACST). My research interests and roles are emphasized in catalyst design and syntheses for petrochemical application. That is included but not limited to olefins polymerization catalyst, poly condensation reactions, and CO2 conversion to fine chemicals. In parallel, I am providing technical consultation to TAQNIA Co. for proposed petrochemical projects offered to them for investment.
